Sensei Brian went over three techniques tonight:

De-Ashi-Barai
As tori - step forward while the uke steps backward. Sweep the foot the uke leaves forward and turn your hands in the direction they're falling to complete the throw. Remember to follow the uke's body and sink your weight if necessary as you maintain control of their arm.

Side-On-Side Hip Throw Entry
Standing side-by-side the uke takes a high grip on the tori's lapel while the tori takes a lower grip on the uke's back. As tori - step in between the uke's legs and perform o-goshi. (uki-goshi, harai-goshi, etc.)

Note: If your closest foot is further behind the uke's foot then enter with a cross step. Otherwise step in normally.

One Hook Turnover
While the uke is in the turtle position hook in with one foot and roll over them with the majority of your body weight on a 45° angle. This makes your foot act like a lever and the momentum you create will easily flip them over.
