Sensei Shane went over five throwing techniques tonight:

O-Guruma:
I'll explain this as a right-sided attack. As the Tori, take a step forward and slightly off to the right side of the uke with your right foot. Bring your left foot in and raise your right leg across the uke's mid-section then twist and throw the uke over it. This throw is a lot like harai-goshi but your leg is higher.

O-Guruma to Kani-Basami:
As the tori you attack with o-guruma but when you get your leg across the uke's mid-section they stiffen up. This makes the uke's balance change to behind them. With your left leg (assuming your right leg is across the uke's mid-section) hop it behind the uke's legs and scissor their legs, throwing them to the ground.

Note: Kani-Basami is an ILLEGAL throw - do NOT use it in randori, shiai, or regular practice. This is for learning purposes only.

Uchi-Mata-Makikomi:
As the tori you attack the uke using the same entry for an uchi-mata but instead of gripping the collar you wrap your arm around their head and rest it on their arm/shoulder area. When completing the throw it's best if you roll right into it and apply a pin afterward.

Sumi-Gaeshi:

Uki-Waza:
As tori - break the uke's balance to the front so they're coming toward you. When they do you squat down with one leg and extend the other one straight out on the ground in front of the uke, then throw them over it.
